Cyclosporine for Dogs
(Sye'kloe-spor-een) - Immunosuppressive drug
Same active ingredient as Optimmune®
Uses - Used in the treatment of dry eyes, keratoconjunctvitis sicca (KCS) in dogs and may also be useful in treating other inflammatory diseases of the eye such as pannus in German Shepherds or chronic uveitis (Moon blindness) in horses.
Adverse effects - few side effect when applied to the eye
Administration - Usually administered twice daily in dogs and cats.
